Welcome to my personal blog.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Frank. I am an insulin dependent diabetic who has been giving himself shots since he was 29.
I am turning 47 this year, so that may be the 18th anniversary of my first self-administered insulin injection was Jan 18, 1986. I know about this because I gave myself that injection within a few minutes that the space shuttle Challenger exploded.
So, how old am I? I was born Oct. 21, 1958.
This year therefore, I will be 47.
My life is turning down a hundred different directions right now. A while back I was asking people for help with any kind of employment, and I still am. This time however I am being a little more discriminating in my request. The job that I am working for is a temporary position in a fairly well known Pacific Northwest audio manufacturer.
I am looking for a permanent position with a company that isn’t threatening to outsource my job overseas somewhere.
I have been having a hell of a time keeping full-time jobs. Recently, we have had to have our debts consolidated by a chapter 7 bankruptcy. We nearly lost our house to foreclosure from a lender who didn’t want to take “no” for an answer too easily. We are in the process of paying them off.
Another thing that is turning my life somewhat upside down is my family is moving back in with me. Earlier we had my daughter move back in to the wardrobe closet sized office space we have here at P.O. Box 3446 in Everett, WA. Now we have emptied a bedroom of all of the music gear we used to have in it so we could move her brother and his wife and child. Now we are a two-generation household living under one roof.
Life gets to be cramped and messy here sometimes, but we are able to pay the bills and live peacefully together.
We would like however to see our kids be able to stand on their two feet and move back out into the real world again.
You can write me at this address: mailto:frank_austad@comcast.net
Or you can help us move our kids out by sending a donation to
Frank and Julie Austad’s house fund
P.O. Box 3446
Everett, WA 98203
Please do not send any money that you cannot afford to give. We may not be able to pay back any personal loans, so please don’t attach any strings. We are however able to give some pretty cool specials:
Julie Austad is willing to send an autographed children’s book she authored to anyone willing to pay $25.00. Send $40.00 and she will send you autographed copies of both of her works: “Uncle’s Trunk” and “Woods”.
Read more about her work by clicking this link to her webpage: http://www.ashadowsinthedarkbook.com/

Hope all is going well with you.
